Commercial Legal Counsel

Responsibilities: - Managing multiple deals and supporting colleagues across EMEA, with sound business and legal judgement and a clear sense of company priorities. - Drafting and negotiating a range of general commercial, procurement and technology contracts. - Supporting business functions such as procurement, real estate, facilities, as well as supporting the finance and tax functions where necessary with general advice. - Supporting on company secretarial matters as required. - Providing legal and strategic advice to help develop a comprehensive and practical approach to our long term relationships with suppliers and partners. - Advising on legal compliance matters and working with other members of the legal team to provide training. - Working on implementing and continuously improving our contracting processes in Europe and building templates, standard forms and policies where needed. - Supporting legal operations matters for the EMEA Legal team to drive efficiency. - Providing general legal support to our global business as-needed.


- 4 years PQE UK or Irish qualified lawyer. - Excellent drafting and negotiation skills with strong commercial acumen and critical thinking skills. - Solid international experience in drafting and negotiating agreements and working collaboratively to develop new documentation, workflows and best practices. - Good understanding of GDPR. - Proactive, self-starter with a strong work ethic who is comfortable working in a fast paced environment and managing numerous projects simultaneously often under tight deadlines. - Ability to learn quickly with a strong interest in technology. - A team player who is adaptable and willing to pitch in to support colleagues and the growth of the business. - In-house experience preferred (which could have been gained on secondment while at private practice). - Substantive expertise in tech transactions preferred. - Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills. Quick to build effective relationships with people from different disciplines and cultures.
