Serious Incident and Complaint Investigator

The Corporate Directorate is currently looking for a Serious Incident and Complaint Investigator to join the Patient Safety Team. This post is full time and is being offered for a 6 month period on a fixed term basis or as a secondment.

This is an exciting post with a newly formed team and is a great opportunity for someone who would like to contribute to improving quality and patient safety.

The Serious Incident and Complaints Investigator will take the lead in investigating serious incidents and complaints on behalf of the trust. You will provide expert advice to all staff on matters related to serious incident and complaint investigations, ensuring compliance with local and national guidance.

The successful applicants do not need to hold a clinical qualification.

You will have a strong sense of initiative, curiosity and be a great team player. It is expected that you will be an effective communicator and will be able to demonstrate excellent report writing skills.
