Be an integral part of the team at Vets Now – Glasgow

Due to progression within the hospital, we are looking for experienced Animal Care Assistants to join our Glasgow team in the roles detailed below. An Animal Care Assistant job isn’t for the faint hearted. It takes a certain skill set and calibre to thrive in this high-pressured environment. Only candidates with a good understanding of the role of an Animal Care Assistant will be considered. Additionally, for the surgical role, an experience of working in a surgical environment would be advantageous.

In our hospital in Glasgow, we rely heavily on the support of our Animal Care Assistants. They are a vital component in caring for our patients and clients alike. Our clinical team could not save lives daily without the dedicated ability of an Animal Care Assistant.

General ACA

A hands on role, assisting our nursing team in caring for our animals and the cleaning of clinical areas.

Work pattern: 5x days on, 5x days off 0700-1700

Surgery ACA

Working with our specialist surgery team, assisting our nurses with the setting up of theatres and care for surgical equipment.

Work pattern: Mon-Fri alternate weeks 0730-1630 and 1100-2000
